Swim Defiance

The 5K event starts at 11:15 am, in-water with a clock-wise, triangular swim from Owen Beach around two buoys near Vashon Island and back to Owen Beach, beach finish; cut off time is 3 hours. The 3K event starts with 15-min ferry at 11:45 am to Vashon Ferry dock. Swimmers disembark, enter the water at the beach southwest of the ferry dock for 12:15 pm start. The Julie Montiel Friend and Family chip monitored wave will start with this chip timed wave; swim cut off time is 2 hours.
