Susan provides fiscal management of the $2.5-million USMS budget. She is responsible for USMS financial management systems, internal controls, financial audit, analysis and estimates, payroll, and human resources. She works closely with the Finance, Investment, and Audit Committees as well as the Swimming Saves Lives Foundation.

A native Floridian, Susan earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Florida and master of science degree in business administration from Boston University. Prior to joining USMS, she served as controller for the Sarasota Orchestra, a nonprofit arts organization. She’s held financial leadership roles in several other organizations, including large, private country clubs.

Susan enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle—her favorite pursuits are cycling and running. She’s completed a few sprint triathlons and sees more in her future. She currently swims for fitness and to improve her swimming for triathlons.
