New Mexico Open Water Swim III: Lake Abiquiu

Lake Abiquiu is the beautiful backdrop for an Open Water Swim. The 1.1 Mile Loop will begin at the beach just to the right of Abiquiu Boat Ramp. Swimmers will enter the water from the beach, and swim straight past the cove to a large pink buoy. They will turn with the buoy on the left, and then site off the iconic Abiquiu Butte. The 5ker's will swim 3 loops of the 1.1 Mile course. In 2020 there will be 3 swimming events run as a series, you must swim in at least two swims to be considered for Overall Series Standings. There is also an Open Water Swim Clinic available, if you simply want to gain more confidence, and knowledge on how to navigate your way through an open water event.
