The organization will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2020

U.S. Masters Swimming will have 13 national championships in 2020, which will be the organization's 50th anniversary. 

The historic 2020 USMS Spring National Championship will be April 23-26 in San Antonio, Texas, just 500 miles from Amarillo, Texas, site of the National Masters Swimming Championships on May 2-3, 1970, the first meet in the organization's history.

The 2020 USMS Summer National Championship will be Aug. 13-16 in Richmond, Va.

USMS will also contest six open water national championships: the Sprint-Distance Open Water Championship (June 27 in Santa Barbara, Calif.), the 2-Mile Cable Open Water Championship (Aug. 8 in Lake Placid, N.Y.), the Middle-Distance Open Water Championship (July 18 in Lake Erie in Ohio), the Long-Distance Open Water Championship (June 13 in Livermore, Calif.), the Marathon-Distance Open Water Championship (Aug. 15 in Hague, N.Y.), and the Ultramarathon-Distance Open Water Championship (July 25 in Newport, Vt.).

Tamalpais Aquatic Masters (1-Hour on Jan. 1-Feb. 28), Southern Oregon Masters Aquatics (5K/10K on May 15-Sept. 15), and Palm Beach Masters (3000/6000 on Sept. 15-Nov. 15) have been chosen to host the USMS ePostal national championships in 2020.

USMS’s pool national championships, open water national championships, and ePostal national championships for 2019 were announced previously.
