Where to Find the Registration Page

Joining or Renewing

New Members: Select the "JOIN USMS"
Renewing or returning Members: Select the "RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP" option

Log In

USMS members who have already created their My Account, enter your email address and password.
If you are a new or returning member needing to create a USMS My Account for the first time, enter the requested information, click “GO”.

Contact Information

Enter the requested contact information in the fields below:

LMSC, Club and Workout Group Affiliation

An LMSC has been suggested for you based on your zip code, but you are not required to register in this LMSC. Select your preferred LMSC and then select your club. If there are registered workout groups under the selected parent club, a WOG drop down menu will automatically appear.

If you swim on your own and not with a specific club, select “Unattached” in the club drop down options.

Your Interests and Preferences

If you are a renewing or returning member, you will be asked if you want to subscribe to the print version of SWIMMER magazine for $10. You can always purchase a subscription later in your My Account page.

If you are coaching or want to coach, we would like to know so we can help move you along your coaching journey with different programs and educational courses offered.

Liability Waiver

After reading and reviewing the Liability Waiver, select “I agree to the terms above” to be able to continue and complete registration.

Event Participation

After reading and reviewing the event participation information, select either Yes OR No to be able to continue and complete registration.

Event License Membership Options

If you selected 'Yes, I plan to participate in events', the Event License options will be available. You must select one of these options to participate in USMS-sanctioned events.

Select either the Event License Standard OR one of the other options available. USMS+ is our premium membership and is available from November 1 to July 1. Year-Plus is our extended membership, which gives you the rest of this year and all of next, and this is available from July 1 to October 31.

Certification of Competition Category

Your competition category is based on your Sex selection in the Contact Information section. You can either certify your competition category matches your sex assigned at birth or not.

Non-Event License Membership Options

If you selected No, I do not plan to participate in events, the non-event license options will be available. You cannot participate in USMS-sanctioned events if you choose this option.

Select either the Standard Membership OR our Year-Plus option, which is only available from July 1 to October 31.

Video Stroke Analysis

If you would like to select a Video Stroke Analysis, select yes and select a stroke. Otherwise, select No.

Note: USMS+ members get a free stroke analysis.

Donation Options

Depending on your location, you will have either two or three donation options.

Payment Options

If you’re finished entering your information, please sign up for Auto Renewal to make your next year's registration quicker. After Auto Renewal, enter your payment information. (You will be able to pay with a Visa, Discover, MasterCard, or American Express credit cards)

To complete and finalize your registration, you will need to read and select these options. The number of checkboxes will be different depending on what type of membership option you selected. You must click each box available. You understand that this membership is non-refundable, non-transferable, and expires on the date based on your membership length.

What Comes Next?

Once you have completed your registration, you will be taken to a confirmation page and receive a series of emails, depending on the membership options, add-ons, and donations you selected.
