Southern Oregon Lake Swims at Applegate Lake

Join Rogue Valley Masters swim team and Oregon Masters at beautiful Applegate Lake, just 40 minutes from Medford, Oregon for the USMS 10K national championship in clear, warm (73-75F) water and air in the mid-80s, surrounded by Southern Oregon mountains! The course is a 2500 M loop, with an in-water feed station at the start/finish area. Saturday starts with the 10K, followed 10 minutes later by a 5K and 2.5K, and Sunday contains a 1500 M swim followed by the popular 3 x 500 M pursuit relay. Camping is available at the lake, or B&Bs and hotels abound in the neighboring communities, such as Jacksonville, Ashland, and Medford. A hearty post-race lunch is included for race participants; spectator lunches may be purchased with registration. The Southern Oregon region is a popular vacation destination, with plentiful outdoor recreation (rivers, lakes, mountains and the Oregon coast nearby), wineries, and cultural activities, such as the Britt Festival and the world-renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Access is easy via Interstate 5 or by flying into the Medford airport (MFR) and driving to the lake. We look forward to hosting you!
