2026 Summer Splash

Come splash around in Baltimore at UMBC's outdoor pool!!  Sanctioned by the Maryland LMSC for USMS, Inc.  COURSE: Long Course Meters (LCM) -The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1 Timing: Colorado - Primary Automatic touchpad. Secondary Semiautomatic button. Tertiary Stopwatch. Times from this competition will be eligible for world record, USMS record, and Top 10 consideration. we look forward to welcoming you back to UMBC.  Warm Ups at 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Meet starts at 1:45 PM. The 1500 will run fastest to slowest, limited to 5 heats. There will be an additional 20 minutes of warm up in the whole pool after the mile (5ish). The indoor pool will be open through the meet for warm up and warm down  Rules USMS rules will apply. The meet is open to any swimmer at least 18 years of age. Age groups are: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, …100-104. Age for the meet is determined as of 7/18/2026. Number of Events A maximum of four (4) individual events may be entered in the second session. Seeding Ages and sexes will be combined. Slower heats will be swum first, with the exception of the 1500 and 400 IM.  Entry Fees $65 Relay Events Relays will be deck entered. The relay entry fee is $20 per relay. The names and ages of all swimmers must be on the card in the proper order. Relay age groups will comply with USMS rules. Relays may include all women, all men or exactly two men and two women. Final Results Results will be posted on the Maryland LMSC website and submitted to USMS.  Warm-up Procedures Swimmers must enter the pool feet first in a cautious manner. No diving is allowed at any time in either pool. Racing dives, including backstroke starts, are allowed only in the designated sprint lanes during the pre-meet warm-up sessions. Renew membership online at http://www.usms.org/reg Entry Deadline All entries must be received by July 14th, 2026.  Directions to 1000 Hilltop Cir. Baltimore MD 21250 From Rt. 95: Take the Catonsville exit (Rt. 166/195). Follow the exit and bear right onto the campus. The pool is directly ahead of you as you enter campus. Go straight through both traffic circles to park on top of the garage. Additional parking is under the garage and on the loop. From Rt. 695: Take exit 12, Wilkens Ave. west. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp. Turn left into the entrance by the police station. Turn right at the stop sign. Proceed through a traffic light.
