Program Overview

The Glens Falls YMCA Masters Swimming program is a year-round program that offers structured swimming sessions, led by an experienced USMS certified Coach. The program is designed for adult swimmers who want to improve their swimming skills, increase their fitness level, and have fun while doing it.

Swim Sessions

Swim sessions are held at the Glens Falls YMCA pool, which is a 25-yard, six-lane pool with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Swim sessions are typically 60 minutes long and are divided into two groups:

Lap Swim: This session is designed for swimmers who want to swim laps and focus on their technique. The pace is moderate, and swimmers are encouraged to work at their own pace.
Workout Session: This session is more intense and focused on swimming drills, exercises, and games. The pace is faster, and swimmers are encouraged to challenge themselves.
Coaching and Support

The program is led by experienced coaches who provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement to help swimmers improve their technique, build endurance, and achieve their goals.

Swim Levels

The program offers three swim levels to accommodate different skill levels:

Beginner: Designed for swimmers who are new to Masters Swimming or haven't swum in a while. This level focuses on building basic swimming skills, such as freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
