A celebration of life

Bonnie Kotzbach died June 8, 2010 at the age of 66 due to complications related to a heart attack that occurred after 20 laps of 30 in a 1500 swim on Sunday June 6th at the Mission Viejo Long Course Meters Meet. Her coach Mark Moore described the incident in the article at The Orange County Register News "Kotzbach's heart stopped during swimming competition." There was a celebration of life on June 17 at the home of the Mission Viejo Nadadores Masters Swim Team.

Bonnie was a freestyler, placing in the top ten 32 times since 2009 in individual swims and 19 relay swims with two relay All-American finishes.
