Want your club/event and swimmers to be featured on USMS’s social media? Submit the following videos and photos of them, and we’ll consider using that content on our channels.

Content Requests

Video

Send us videos featuring your swimmers discussing any of the following topics.

  • What I accomplished today (big or small)
  • What I learned today
  • Why I love swimming
  • Why I love my club
  • Why I love competing in this event
  • Why I love USMS
  • How my club helped me achieve a certain goal
  • How much time I dropped after swimming with a club
  • Fun stuff your club does, such as birthday sets, themed workouts, and other fun activities
  • Swimmers who have great human interest stories and how swimming or the club helped them in their journey (overcoming obstacles, swimming for causes, etc.)
  • Anything else you think would make for a great story

Photo

Send us photos of a swimmer or group of swimmers while swimming, standing on deck, talking with a teammate, etc., and then provide some information telling us the story behind the swimmer or group of swimmers. Here's a sample of what we're looking for.

Content Formatting

Video

Video is preferred and can really help tell your swimmers’ stories in-depth.

All videos should be shot in the vertical format (holding your smartphone or camera up and down, not side to side). We recommend having the pool or some swimming element in the background with light shining on the person’s face. To help make sure your swimmers are heard, shoot video when the pool deck is quiet.

The best time to shoot is right after the workout (while wearing a swim cap, so they don’t have to worry about their hair).

Photo

If you can’t shoot video, don’t worry. We will accept photos as well.

Photos should be shot in landscape mode (holding your smartphone or camera side to side, not up and down). We recommend having light shining on the person’s or group’s face(s).

Submission

We’d prefer it if you posted your videos or photos directly to Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok and tag us. If you or your club/event don’t have an account on one of those channels, please submit them to marketing@usmastersswimming.org. Please include “Coaches’ Content Request” in the subject line to make sure we spot your submission.

If you are submitting using email, please be sure to include the correct spelling of your swimmer’s name and your club/event, as well as a brief description of the story.

If your file is too large to email, please use a service like WeTransfer, and email it to marketing@usmastersswimming.org.

If you’re having trouble submitting your photos or videos, please contact marketing@usmastersswimming.org for assistance.
