Keeping track and keeping on

Henry Chan, 32, is an electrical engineer working as a design consultant. He lives in San Mateo, Calif. where he grew up. "It is a wonderful experience to live where you grew up and to be a part of a historic team like the San Mateo Masters," he says. Chan was taught to swim by the founders of the team and is a byproduct of their love of swimming.

Chan swims for fitness and for the occasional competition. He has regular events that he participates in and he really enjoys swimming with his teammates.

Chan swims four to five times a week in the evening and he swims about 3,500 yards per workout. He prefers swimming in the pool but he does swim in open water a couple of times a year. Chan is an IM swimmer and says, "I enjoy that while I still can swim all strokes."

Chan was always curious how much he swims in one year.  He finds GTD good way to keep track and he likes that he can get some nice prizes for doing what he loves to do.

"I'm a simple guy who enjoys lots of different things. I like to play other sports including golf, ultimate frisbee, football, and softball. I enjoy being outside and spending time with family and friends. I like to hike in the wild but also in the urban wild like malls, even if it is just to window shop."
