2023 Del Valle Open Water Festival

The 2023 Del Valle Open Water Festival is a two-day event with 10k, 5k, 1.2k and 2.5k swims. The event is held in the scenic Lake Del Valle nestled in the heart of the Livermore Valley Wine country. Water temperature is expected to be 70-75 with a huge grassy park and beach for spectators and participants. Participation will be limited to 350 participants on Saturday, August 26th and expected participation of 400-450 on Sunday, August 27th. We will be also have a “Just for Fun” division of the 1.2k and 2.5k allowing Fins/pull buoys to raise funds for community relief efforts. We expect up to 600 swimmers to participate from around the country and international destinations. Our field will have several former Olympic and U.S.A. National Team swimmers. We have a dual sanction with USA Swimming and expect ~100 youth swimmers to participate.
