Riptide Masters Swimming
Riptide Masters Swimming is the largest and most active masters swimming program in the greater New Orleans area offering workout locations in both New Orleans and Metairie. We were also the first masters program in our LMSC to achieve USMS Gold Club recognition. Our program is led by a team of seven professional USMS (2 - Level 3, 2 - Level 2, and 3 - Level 1 Certified Coaches), USAT (2 Certified Coaches), and ASCA certified coaches (1 - Level 3 Certified Coach), who are all known for their creative and challenging workouts. Several of our coaches and swimmers actively serve on Southern Masters Swimming LMSC and US Masters Swimming boards and committees. Our Head Coach is currently the Vice Chair of the USMS National Coaches Committee and was a featured presenter at the 2025 National USMS Annual Meeting on club development. Riptide Masters Swimming utilizes the UNO Aquatic Center (the largest aquatic facility in the area with an indoor 8 lane, 50 meter pool and outdoor 6 lane, 25 yard pool) and St. Martin's Episcopal School (8 lane, 25 yard pool) in Metairie. Currently, we are offering 11 workout options each week, with workouts available on all 7 days. Whether you're looking to better your swim leg for an upcoming triathlon, stay or get back into shape or learn champion-tested techniques from a caring coaching staff, Riptide Masters is your alternative to swimming incorrectly or swimming alone. Our workouts and training program are designed to accommodate and challenge swimmers of all ability levels (from national champions through beginning fitness swimmers).
