San Diego Swim Masters

San Diego Swim Masters (SDSM) was established in 1971 and was known as San Diego County Swim Masters (SDCSM) until 1980 when the name was shortened to San Diego Swim Masters (SDSM). SDSM swimmers train in various pools across San Diego County under a variety of coaches, on their own, or elsewhere. Workout/practice times and fees vary by facility. SDSM members have the opportunity to swim on relays with the assistance of the SDSM relay coordinator. SDSM's permanent club ID in SI LMSC is #001.

Practice Information

Workout/practice times and fees vary depending upon the facility/pool location, workout group, and pool status. A general "Places to Swim" in SI LMSC list includes all clubs and many workout locations and is located on the SI web site (www.SIMasterswim.org) on the “SI Places to Swim” page, http://simasterswim.org/WorkOutLocations.pdf. Please call the facility for current information.
Masters workouts at the Mission Valley Y (https://www.ymcasd.org/locations/mission-valley-ymca), located at 5505 Friars Rd., San Diego, CA 92110, are for Mission Valley Y members, participants, and drop-ins. Practice times are M-F 6–7 am, 7–8 am, and 12-1 pm; and Sat 8–9:30 am. The masters workout group at UCSD (Canyonview Aquatic Complex, University of California at San Diego, 3390 Voigt Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093) has several practice options, 6-7:30 am M-F, 6-7:30 pm M-Th, and 7:30-9 am Sat.
