Profiling Susan Suomu

Susan Suomu was born and raised in Waukegan, Ill. She began her swimming career at Lake Forest Swim Club in Lake Forest, Ill. Susan swam for the University of Minnesota and was a co-captain her junior and senior years. Susan excelled in backstroke and qualified for Senior Nationals. She holds an undergraduate degree in early childhood education and a masters in elementary education. She currently teaches a kindergarten/first grade in Santa Monica/Malibu Unified and loves her job!
