Jean was active in the Southeastern LMSC for many years. She became the LMSC Registrar in the 1980’s and held the position until illness forced her to resign in 2006. She mentored her position successor at the LMSC level. Jean also served as her club’s Registrar and Treasurer for twenty-five years. She attended USMS Convention regularly and was a member of the Registration, Championship, and Fitness committees from 1995-2000.
