U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

Dave Brancamp, of Sierra Nevada Masters in the Pacific LMSC, contributed at the club, local and the national level. Dave was a 5-year member (2018-2022) of the Long Distance Committee, and he was the committee’s liaison to several national open water championships. His role was to work with the event hosts to ensure the event was conducted according to USMS standards and rules so that participants had a good experience. He also chaired the USMS LMSC Development committee. The committee focused on the education and development of volunteers by developing LMSC job descriptions and mentoring LMSC leaders, often by using webinar presentations. He also was the lead organizer in the developing the inaugural USMS Volunteer Relay meeting in 2022.
