A member of USMS for over 30 years, Maryanne has contributed much to the Ozark LMSC and her club, St Louis Area Masters. One of her greatest contributions was to gain access to the 50-meter Chuck Fruit Natatorium in Edwardsville, IL, where she established numerous competitions and served as meet director. Maryanne has served as both the Vice-Chair and Chair of the LMSC and as a member of the USMS History & Archives Committee. She also is a certified USMS coach and teaches lifeguarding classes
