U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

Joanne’s long history in Masters Swimming began in the Delaware Valley LMSC. A few years later she moved to Alaska where she lived and coached for many years. Joanne served as Top-Ten Records Chair, and as Vice-Chair and Chair for the Alaska LMSC, each more than once. She was influential in rewriting bylaws, establishing a scholarship committee and program, and tending to the normal duties of the organization. Joanne was also instrumental in the AKMS 2013 Check-Off Challenge. She served on the USMS Open Water Committee and became a Level 3 certified USMS coach. North Carolina, her new home, was the lucky recipient of her future contributions.
