Anthony had been a driving force in keeping much of the structure of the Missouri Valley LMSC going smoothly for many years. He served on the national board of USMS, as president of the LMSC, and as Breadbasket Zone Chair. Anthony planned many meets - both postal and local - and has provided the storage for paperwork, banners, clocks, meet supplies, etc. He was the person people turned to when there was a technical or organizational issue of any kind when running events; he frequently assisted in the work itself. Anthony opened his home for various social events as well.
