A longtime member of the Southern Pacific LMSC, Bob was well known for his dedication to USMS. He served on the LMSC board and attended convention for many years. He also served on numerous national committees, dating back to 1989. Bob was a member of Sports Medicine from 1989-1991, Insurance from 1989-2001, Championship in 1993, Finance in 1994, Safety Education from 1994-1997, and Legislation from 1996-2001. Bob served on the Legal Counselors Committee in 1997 and 2000-2001.
