Virtual Swim to Key West

Introducing a scenic way to "Go the Distance". While we are all swimming in our scenic pools, many of us indoors, looking at the same walls, why not imagine yourself in the Florida Keys. Take a 200 mile virtual swim in Florida from St. Petersburg to Key West. Created by Paul and Margie Hutinger for the Virtual Swim Series, this 200 mile swim is broken into segments of 10 to 40 miles. Use the various points along the way as your mileage incentives to get to Key West. You can do this on your own or form a relay with up to 3 others (4 in total) and share the adventure with friends. A description of the route as well as a tracking log specifically designed for this swim are available for your reference and use.

Once completed, you can purchase a swim cap for the milestone noting the fact that you swam the Florida Keys. There is no better way to get over the blahs of that boring wall beside the pool than to visualize yourself at places such as Anna Maria Island, Naples, and other spots along the way.
