A member of USMS since 1992, Kenton was involved in varied aspects of Masters Swimming. He represented San Diego-Imperial at many conventions and was a member of the Records and Tabulation Committee. Reaching out to the New Mexico LSMC when help was needed, he submitted their Top 10 Times and trained their new Top 10 Recorder. Kenton attended the 2019 LMSC Leadership Summit and returned to his LMSC with strategies and tools that could be implemented. He served as a representative for Officials in SD-I by maintaining rapport with qualified officials to ensure meets were adequately staffed. A frequent board member, he served in the Vice Chair and Coach representative positions. Kenton hosted over 50 sanctioned or recognized meets .
