Pat became a certified swimming official more than 35 years ago, holding certifications from USA-Swimming, NCAA, YMCA, National Federation of High Schools, and USMS. On the USA-S side, she worked National and Junior National Championships, two international meets and four Olympic Trials. She’s officiated at NCAA championship meets for twelve years and officiated at Paralympics and Special Olympics.

Around 2003, Pat found USMS and a new “home”. She joined the USMS Officials Committee and started attending USMS National meets. Pat had been a USMS Meet Referee several times and refereed at IGLA and Gay Games. She’s officiated at four FINA Masters international meets and countless local and zone meets. Her prolonged service and contributions to USMS at all levels was unsurpassed. Pat’s positive and cheerful demeanor positively impacted USMS every time she was on the pool deck”.
