U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

Judi began her involvement in Masters Swimming by joining O*H*I*O Masters in the early 1980’s. Over the last 35 years, she participated in swimming, coaching, club management, National Championship organization, LMSC leadership, and ALTS. After holding other positions, she served as her club’s president for four years. Judi served on the Lake Erie LMSC Board, and administered the National Top 10 patch program. In 2017, she led her club when they hosted the Speedo 1-hour ePostal National Championship event. Judi carried out administrative duties of the club, including board meetings, pool billing, starting new workout groups, and meet organization. She coached one of the club’s workout groups, focusing on beginner Masters Swimmers and stroke mechanics. A certified ALTS instructor, she brought her love of swimming to others. Judi is known around the pool as a creative leader with a big heart and thoughtful nature, which makes members feel welcomed and cultivates team cohesiveness.
