| Description: | This is a USMS sanctioned open water race on October 21st at Lake Longhorn for masters swimmers. Come for a great swim in a clean, calm, safe lake. This race offers all events for one $55 entry fee - you can swim 1, 2, 3, or any combination. We'll have buttermilk pancakes, smash burgers, and music! This is an event, not just a race - come join us! Location and Facilities: Lake Longhorn is located at 2391 Gun Range Road, League City, TX 77573. Race Timeline: Check-in - 6:30 am Warm-up – 7:00 am Event 1: 0.6 mile (1 loop) – 7:30 am Event 2: 1.2 miles (2 loops) – 8:00 am Event 3: 2.4 miles (4 loops) – 9:30 am Race Directors: Chris Sustala (csustala@gmail.com) Amanda Hoover (ahoover@alumni.utexas.net) If you are planning on swimming more than one event, you need to be able to swim an 800 in less than 30 minutes. |
