Ground Transportation and Airport

Located 10 miles from downtown Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota, the Minneapolis Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) is an easy drive to hotels and the aquatic center. Traveling by Light-Rail Transit is a convenient and affordable option for getting around the Twin Cities. The Light-Rail connects the airport, aquatic center, Mall of America, and both downtowns (Minneapolis and St. Paul), and for $25, visitors can purchase a week long pass. Light-rail trains run approximately every 10 minutes and take less than half an hour to travel from the airport to downtown Minneapolis. From downtown, it takes only 10 minutes to get to the University of Minnesota. For those choosing to drive, see below for parking information

Social

Experience Major League Soccer! Come watch Minnesota United FC take on the defending MLS champion Seattle Sounders FC at TCF Bank Stadium, home to the Minnesota Golden Gophers, on Saturday August 5th at 7:00 pm. The stadium is located just two blocks from the Aquatic Center. We’ll meet prior to the game near the Aquatic Center at 5:30 for some light appetizers and then walk over to the stadium as a group. This is a great opportunity to spend some time outdoors and see a Major League Soccer match. Plus, our entire group will be recognized during half-time and put up on the video board, a great plug for USMS! A limited number of social tickets will be available at meet check-in for $30.
