Jessica Porter, Sr. Director, Membership Acquisition and Retention
Jessica leads the membership services and acquisition team and is responsible for membership benefits, customer service, communication, and engagement for all USMS members and volunteers, including supporting the efforts of USMS’s nearly 1500 Masters Swimming clubs and workout groups and 52 LMSCs.
A Boston native, Jessica brings more than seven years of professional experience in customer service, marketing, sales, hospitality, and event planning. She attended Nichols College, where she played tennis and lacrosse, and graduated with a bachelor of science in business administration with a specialization in sport management. She was inducted into the Nichols College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.
Jessica’s career in sports began before graduation, when she worked with Billy Jean-King and World TeamTennis on their marketing efforts at the national headquarters in New York City as an intern. After graduation, she relocated to Florida and worked with the NBA’s Miami HEAT, building loyal partnerships and maximizing ticket sales opportunities. Before she arrived at USMS, Jessica spent six years with the Orange Bowl Committee, a nonprofit sports organization that promotes championship sporting events and multiple year-round activities in South Florida. Most recently she served as their manager of ticket services, leading service initiatives and implementing new strategies to achieve organizational goals, primarily through customer service and retention.
Jessica enjoys an active lifestyle—her favorite activities are yoga, running, and sailing. She’s excited to be swimming for fitness and rehab as years of impact sports contributed to the rupture of both her ACL tendons. She’s completed Levels 1 and 2 of the USMS Coach Certification Program.
