COVID-19 Mitigation Protocols
USMS is continuing to monitor COVID-19 and will take precautions as we return to in-person meetings. The protocols below are currently planned but could change depending on the situation as we get closer to Relay 2022:
- Negative COVID-19 Test
- All attendees are asked to test within 72 hours of attending Relay.
- You won’t need to show proof of a negative test, but we ask in the name of our volunteers, staff, and your own health that if you test positive, please stay home.
- Masking
- Required in venue for unvaccinated attendees, except when eating and drinking.
- If you are vaccinated, you are not required to wear a mask.
- Vaccinations
- Strongly recommended for all attendees.
Hotel Reservations and Rooming
Notify Volunteer Services of the names of those who will be in attendance from your LMSC, the type of room requested (double/double or private room), roommate preference, and other supporting details. Requests must be submitted by Feb. 1 to guarantee a hotel reservation. Requests received after this date may be subject to additional fees.
- USMS will pay for the lodging expenses for attendees for a double occupancy room while at Relay 2022. We're asking LMSCs to make reasonable efforts to submit roommate preferences that have already confirmed they are comfortable sharing a room. If an LMSC attendee feels comfortable sharing a room and is in need of a roommate, the National Office will help assist in pairing suitable roommates.
- Requests for a private room (which requires payment of ½ of the full room rate) will be considered after all requests for double occupancy are fulfilled.
Please forward any questions to Volunteer Services. Email will be monitored during the holidays but for questions submitted between Dec. 20 and Jan. 2, expect a response the week of Jan. 3.
Note: This email was sent to LMSC chairs and vice chairs.
