Known errors & intended improvements

We need to categorize our "errors".

1. embarrasing and obvious, fix ASAP, but we might not know how, or else we'd have fixed it already
2. serious but don't yet know how to fix it
3. don't quite know what to do, need to think more.
4. other things to discuss

• "Submit" button & cgi-bin menu causes failure in top header of incoming page (fixed)
  • ../tt/age/index.htm
  • ../tt/lmsc/index.htm
  • ../tt/det/index.htm
• failure in top header affecting all files in folder
  • ../remember/index.htm(fixed)
• large image messing up appearance (tentatively fixed, but needs fine tuning)
  • I think text should wrap around Ron Johnson's image.
  • Cav Cavanaugh's photo is now being handled well.
  • text should wrap around Jim Lilley's photo.

  • Bill Tingley's story shows an error because Nancy Ridout's name is not followed by a space. Carriage return is not sufficient. This can be easily fixed when we have a few minutes.
• improvements we should make when we have time or help
  • ../si.htm needs link to ../tt/aae/ttaaiu44.htm (same for all LMSCs)
  • ../tt/topten44.htm needs link to ../tt/aae/ttaaiu44.htm (same for all LMSCs)
  • our javascript page structure does not work well for older Netscape browsers or Mac computers.
  • list by their name their birth and death years (like 1936-2002 for Bill Earley)
  • it is not easy to get from USMS.org to our archives. We should be listed at the top level of the left menu.
• SwimmerIDs for records have not been converted to encode birthdays because records have not been available to our archives. The conversion to encode birthdays will be made when we have current data with which to work.
