May 8, 2005: USMS National Election
During a meeting on Sunday, May 8, the Election Committee qualified the nominees for USMS Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Candidates for Executive Committee will be placed on the slate for election in September. Director candidates will be slated by their respective zones during convention. The lists of the 2004 USMS individual All Americans and All-Stars for pool events are now available. As a reminder, the 2004 long distance All American and All-Star lists are also available. The list of 2004 Relay All Americans for pool events will be available soon.
April 28, 2005: Short Course Nationals Roster and Psych Sheets
The meet roster and event psych sheets are now available for the 2005 USMS Short Course Nationals. There are 1,620 swimmers entered in the meet representing 176 teams. Swimmers who have entered six events for this meet will be permitted to swim in all six of their events (the sixth event will NOT be dropped). Read more...

Have you ever wondered when to capitalize words, what is the proper punctuation to use, or whether to use effect or affect in a sentence? For the answer to these and other questions, check out the USMS Style Guide on the Communications Policies section of the web site. This publication gives guidelines for writing USMS print and Web documents. It is based on The Associated Press Stylebook (Goldstein, Norm, ed. Basic Books, 2004), but is not identical to it. It is not intended to cover every question that could arise, but rather the most common ones. Read more…
March 23, 2005: 2005 ASCA World Coaching Clinic Grants
The 2005 ASCA World Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in September will feature a Masters track of six presentations by some of the nation's foremost Masters coaches. In addition, dozens of talks will be offered by the world's top swim coaches. USMS has instituted a grant program whereby each LMSC can nominate one Masters coach for a registration fee waiver.
