It is an exciting time for USMS as we undergo numerous changes. I want to assist by continuing to lead the organization and helping to take us to the next level.

Why are you interested in this position and why do you believe you would be a good candidate?

I am passionate about masters swimming and USMS. Since 2003 I have been a USMS volunteer on the local and national level. I have a strong desire to serve USMS, grow the organization, and give back to the sport and organization that has given me so much.

My unique background as a CPA, a controller for a swim club, masters swim coach and an assistant swim meet/event organizer offers the organization key knowledge and energy in areas that are important for its growth.

As a current BOD member I have had the opportunity to chair several committees and have been a valuable member of several task forces. I have enjoyed my service and demonstrated that I can get the job done.

What do you consider to be the major issues facing USMS now and in the future? As a person holding an elected position within USMS, how would you address these issues?

Leadership, growth, communication, coaching and member services are areas I see as critical to the health of our organization. I bring my enthusiasm and knowledge and will continue to volunteer for participation on sub-committees and task forces to address these issues.
