Esther Grafrath (1913 - 2003), an excellent Arizona Masters swimmer was living with her daughter in Twinsburg, Ohio when she died on December 17, 2003 at the age of 90, after a fall, surgery, and heart attack. Teammate Edie Gruender said "she came to the meet in Cleveland in 2002 to cheer on the Arizona Masters swimmers and it was great to see her then."
