Claudia assists all staff members at the National Office by providing support through various projects and day-to-day operations. These include travel planning for staff and the Board of Directors, vendor and freelance contract management for USMS publications, marketing materials fulfillment, event planning, and administrative support for the Swimming Saves Lives Foundation.

Claudia graduated magna cum laude from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a bachelor of fine arts degree, and she holds a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Walden University. Claudia worked for several years as an art consultant for Universal Art Images which sold art education materials to educators across the world. She also worked as the executive director for Delta Arts Alliance, an arts nonprofit in Cleveland, MS that offers free arts education to schools forced to cut their arts programming.

A Sarasota native, Claudia started swimming at age 5 and continued until her sophomore year in college. Currently, she enjoys running with her husband, going to the beach regularly, and teaching her 3-year-old son how to swim.
