Bob’s move to central Oregon expanded Masters Swimming in the state of Oregon. His expertise as a coach benefited many Oregon Masters swimmers, not just those on his Central Oregon Masters (COMA) team. Bob led clinics across the state and served as club coach when Oregon Masters traveled to national meets. His passion for open water swimming contribued to the development of key open water events at the local and national level. Bob served on the LMSC board as Long Distance Chair and Coaches Chair. Nationally, he served on the Coaches, Fitness Education, Open Water and Long Distance committees.
